Signed to Delta Groove Records! Dec 2011

My band the Rhythm Scratchers have released a new album on Delta Groove Records titled "What You Make of it". It was recorded at Sacred Cat Studios and is available now at gigs, and March 20th in stores/internet! The album features all washboard guitars (except one acoustic resonator track) with band members Troy Sandow on bass, and harmonica, and Marty Dodson on drums, and special guest James Harman on one track. Europe Tour 3/28-4/9/2012!

The Rhythm Scratchers have been asked to play the Grand Blues Festival in Lahti Finland on 3/31, where we will also back up harmonica wizard Billy Watson! We have added a few more tour dates also in Finland, Spain and France. Check calander for dates.

Barcelona working vacation! Nov 28- Dec 9th

 After a successful tour to Spain in September to play the Barcelona Blues Festival, I made several new friends and contacts. When I mentioned to them that I wanted to come back as soon as possible for little vacation in December, within a few days I had 7 gigs booked!! So here I go on what is closest to a musicians vacation! Can't complain at all. 

Fall NW Tour October 12-24 2011

 Once again the trio is going out on the road for a NW tour this Fall. We will be making stops along the way with dates in the bay area, Ashland OR, Portland OR, Port Townsend WA, Seattle WA, and White Rock BC Canada. We will be tightening up our sound to get ready to return and record a new album! 

Barcelona Blues Festival!

I have the extreme honor to get to perform and teach a guitar workshop at the Barcelona Blues Festival on September 15th and 16th! I also have the honor to play with in my back up band one of Spain's very finest pianists, Lluís Coloma. Northwest Tour June 24-July 11 2011!

 Excited to embark on a Summer tour up through California, Oregon and Washington! It will be my trio as a part of the James Harman band for 2 and 1/2 weeks playing clubs and centered around several sets at the illustrious Water Front Blues festival in Portland Oregon. During the Waterfront fest on 4th of July weekend, my trio will be doing a couple sets, I'll be doing a solo workshop, and we'll be playing as the James Harman band on the Main stage and on the night time river boat cruise. This is one of the best festivals I've ever played at! Check out tour dates on the gigs page.

Spring European tour 2011!

 It's time already for me to leave on another European tour! This time I'll be headed to Italy on March 9th to perform with Italian harmonica player Franco Limido. We'll be playing around Italy, Belgium, Holland, and Denmark for three weeks. Then I'll be meting with James Harman for one duo gig in Copenhagen. Then the last week I'll be finishing off solo for some high profile concerts in Finland! Can't wait.

Europe/ Southern USA tour! 9/13/10

 Excited to head off to Europe for a solo tour! First stop is Italy to play with Franco Limido and his band Family Style. Franco has informed that his mother will be cooking me a special Italian meal while I'm there!...Next stop is Finland to do some solo gigs and a couple duo gigs with the great Jo Buddy...Then next to Norway for a couple duo gigs with my pal Arnt Ove. Then Off to Denmark for a couple of gigs with my friend Peder Nande and his band, including the Copenhagen Blues Festival...Then after a few last gigs in Sweden, I'll be headed back to the USA to do a couple shows in Clarksdale Mississippi with Stan Street....Next is meeting up the James Harman Band in Helena Arkansas to play the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Fest!...Lastly, will be off to Kansas City to play with Harman and his Bamboo Porch trio at The Evil Monkey Barbecue!

 During my last show with Kim Wilson at the New Village Arts Theater in Carlsbad, my friend Mark Abbott took some great video of the show and posted it on You Tube. I was also recording the gig for a possible live album but the electricity went out in the middle of the 2nd set. We'll have to book another show and record it.
